I am experienced with several psychotherapy approaches and use techniques as they are applicable to the person seeking psychotherapy. Some of the psychotherapy approaches with which I am familiar include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), relationship and family therapy, motivational interviewing, and using metaphoric or projective cards.

I am especially experienced working with people who are neurodivergent, transgender, health professionals, or have experienced trauma.

While I don't generally work with people who have ongoing heavy substance use, I have lived experience of smoking cessation (as well as research in this area) and feel confident helping others to beat nicotine addiction.

There is currently no Medicare rebate available, however your health fund may provide a rebate. This being said, seeing a counsellor/psychotherapist is often cheaper for long term therapy than seeing a registered psychologist. Consider your needs and financial situation when choosing a therapist.
