Autism

Everybody is different in how they're affected by their autism. Learning to manage stress, social situations, burn out, sensory overload, and other issues that can arise is paramount to thriving as an autistic person. Many adults who have gone years without being diagnosed with autism may have collected other diagnoses that just don't fit. One of the diagnoses that is often applied to people who turn out to be autistic is borderline personality disorder (BPD), because emotional regulation, stress management, and relationships may be difficult areas. It is important to differentiate between neurodevelopmental issues like autism and ADHD and mental illness. Nevertheless, strategies that help neurotypical people with mental illness can be very helpful for managing specific issues that autistic people deal with. I've collected some resources that are specifically designed for autistic people, which I have listed below.
